Getting Started
Welcome to TravelingMerchant, a lightweight and powerful plugin designed to let you create timed merchants, rotating shops, and location-based traders – without the need for NPCs!
This guide will help you install the plugin, run your first test, and point you to where you can get support and explore more features.
✅ Installation
Download the plugin from Spigot or your preferred platform.
Place the
.jar
file into your server’s/plugins
folder.Restart the server or use
/reload
to load the plugin.

Vault (for economy support)
PlaceholderAPI (optional but recommended)
🚀 First-Time Setup
Once the plugin is installed, here’s how you can quickly test it out:
🧭 1. Set the Merchant Spawn Location
/merchant location example add
➡ This sets the current player location as a possible spawn point for the example
merchant.
🔁 2. Reload the Plugin Configurations
/merchant reload
➡ This reloads all configs, including merchants, locations, categories, and items.
✨ 3. Spawn the Merchant
/merchant spawn example example_villager
➡ Spawns the merchant instantly at one of its defined locations.
Now the merchant should appear! You can interact with the merchant or try other commands.
